Wyze firmware success

Post by jmitchell » March 7th, 2019, 10:36 pm

Some folks complained that the update bricked their camera or made it unable to connect. Well, my camera was buggy anyway so I installed the new firmware version and it went well.

I still think that these solutions kind of suck, and that Raspberry Pi is most likely a better option.

Standard versus HD

Post by jmitchell » April 14th, 2019, 8:39 am

Wow the camera is very responsive when using SD mode but HD causes massive latency and often it fails to connect. Here's a tip - you don't need HD. Sure HD looks better but it's still 30 frames per second and therefore choppy as hell and not really worth it.
