There is absolutely no justification for importing armies of uneducated migrant workers when machines can do all the low skilled work.

I'm worried that this will lead to the UBI. Imagine a society where half of the young people live with their parents, and sit on their ass all day, playing games. UBI will happen if warehouse jobs go.

Oh, that's just so that manufacturing industries go to countries where they can exploit child labor assembling iphones for us We don't want those industries here as we would have to get migrants in to do them as our own population prefers to live off welfare. Also the labour party can virtue signal how they are standing up for the "working" class. Perfectly normal for collapsing Marxist dystopias. 😉

When boomers and your generation say that people don't want to work, they really mean that people don't want to work 12 hour days with an allotted one day weekend. It's the government's responsibility to raise national morale but all we do is mourn and feel sad. When will something good happen that will motivate people to live well and aim high? I don't mean a rugby game.

IKR... for many years I worked 7 days a week until late at night for pathetic wages. That changed when I set up my own company and I charged my clients by the hour. I have no objection to robots doing the mind-numbingly monotonous tasks... and getting young people into real careers. I think we need to use import duties to protect our industry and workforce from competition that exploits 3rd world poverty, or we will end up just like them.
